Managing Carpenter Ants Without Pesticides
Carpenter ants are important decomposers of forest trees, not feeding on the wood but burrowing within it to nest and feed on insects, plants and fruit juices. However, the ants can move from their native woods to the structures of our homes, where they invade the kitchen, pantry and interior rooms looking for water and human or pet food. Although they are slow to cause harm, they can seriously damage weathered or neglected structures.

There are homes near by that are being treated for termites. Is my house at risk, and what can I do to protect my home?
Termites do forage, they can, and do spread to other houses in the area through underground and/or flying and entering through cracks. Termite protection treatments will help prevent termite infection. These treatments can stop termites in their tracks.
What is the difference between tenting a house for termites and other treatments (foam & spot treatment)?
Tenting or fumigation treatment is effective against drywood termites only! This includes the hassle of vacating your home for 2 - 4 days.
  • Foam treatment is for drywood and sub termite infestations. With this treatment, specific areas can be targeted without treating the entire home.
  • Both treatments come with a one year warranty; some foam treatments include an extended warranty for beyond one year.
What can I do to prevent bugs from entering my house?
Because every house is different your service tech will have to determine this. Some Hints: Seal all visible cracks, clean debris that may leaning against your house, fix your screens so that unwanted pests cannot enter, and use preventative perimeter treatments.
If it rains will the treatment be washed away?
Liquid residual treatment once delivered WILL NOT wash away.
I now have termites, how much damage can they do in a months time?
Active sub-termites in a months time will not do much damage. However if left untreated can do A LOT of damage. We recommend that you take action as soon as possible. Also by the time you see evidence of termites you have had them for sometime and did not know it.
Does your treatment have an odor?
We use the best products on the market with little or no odors.
After treatment will I still see bugs?
After treatment you may see some bugs, however, you will see a noticeable reduction until entire infestation is gone. Bugs can still live outside and will try to re-enter the house. We suggest that a preventative perimeter treatment be done outside to stop this.
